Learn the basic skills for working on the potter's wheel, from a lump of clay to a finished glazed mug, bowl or plate. This course is perfect for beginners who are sitting down at the wheel for the first time. Together you will learn the basics of pottery, set your first creative accents and immerse yourself in the exciting world of ceramics.
The course is structured as follows:
Day 1: Clay preparation and first turning on the potter's wheel.
Day 2: Turning the pieces and shaping the base of the turned vessels.
Day 3: Glazing the dried and fired pieces. The glazing session usually takes place 2-3 weeks after the first two days of the course.
You can then pick up your finished pieces approximately three weeks after the glazing appointment.
The price includes clay, raw firing and glaze firing. You don't need to bring anything else except maybe an old t-shirt or apron (although clay can easily be washed out of clothing).
Dependent on the date, the course language is German or English - please select the date according to your preference!
In addition, you will receive 3 free studio hours when you book your course. You will receive the hour card from the teaching staff during the course. Please note that material and firing costs are not included in these 3 hours.
