Learn the basic skills for working on the potter's wheel, from a lump of clay to a finished glazed mug, bowl or plate. This course is perfect for beginners who are sitting down at the wheel for the first time. Together you will learn the basics of pottery, set your first creative accents and immerse yourself in the exciting world of ceramics.
The course is structured as follows:
Day 1: Clay preparation and first throwing on the potter's wheel.
Day 2: Trimming the pieces and making a foot for the pieces.
Day 3: Glazing the dried and fired pieces. The glazing session usually takes place 2-3 weeks after the first two days of the course.
The appointments build on each other - attendance at all three is required to reach a result.
You can then pick up your finished pieces approximately three weeks after the glazing appointment.
The price includes clay, bisque firing and glaze firing. You don't need to bring anything else except maybe an old t-shirt or apron (although clay can easily be washed out of clothing).
Dependent on the date, the course language is German or English - please select the date according to your preference!
