8 sessions for beginners and intermediate level
Learn and deepen your skills in wheel throwing and handbuilding techniques – no prior experience required! Wheel throwing, centering, creating small or larger vessels, surface design, and careful glazing: together we develop and practice the techniques needed to realize personal ideas for vessels as well as objects, reliefs, or figures, and get to know clay as a living material.
Depending on your preference, you can focus entirely on working at the wheel or additionally learn handbuilding techniques (slab building and coil building). There are no limits to your creativity!
Glazes and tools are freely available in the studio. The first two kilos of fired work, including clay, are included in the course price. After the first two kilos, firing costs are €15.00 per kg for finished pieces. You don’t need to bring anything except maybe an old T-shirt or an apron (clay can generally be washed out of clothing easily).
Maximum of 10 participants.
If you happen to miss a session, that’s no problem: up to three missed course sessions can be made up free of charge in the rami Co-Making (unguided studio), provided you have sufficient basic knowledge (attendance of at least 2 sessions). Make-up sessions must take place within our opening hours and can also be done after the course has ended.
The course language is German or English – please select the appropriate date according to your preference.
With your course booking, you receive 3 free studio hours on top. Studio hour passes will be provided by the teaching staff during the course. Material and firing costs are not included in these hours.
