Course Duration:

Mo. 20.7.-Fr. 24.7. 18:00-21:00

Second Course:

Mo. 03.08.-Fr. 07.08. 18:00-21:00

The weeks are not connected and can be booked seperately. The finished bisque fired pieces can be glazed by you in our open studio. If you have never glazed before and want to learn it you can book a glaze course here.

Whether you're just starting out or looking to deepen your skills – our pottery wheel course invites you to rediscover form, material, and expression over five consecutive evenings, plus a glazing session.

For beginners and advanced participants
No prior knowledge required. Our course is open to both beginners and those with experience. With individual guidance, you'll learn to work with clay – intuitively, precisely, and at your own pace.

Over five evenings, we'll focus on wheel-throwing – from your first touch of clay to a finished, fired piece:

  • Evening 1 – Mon, Aug 25: Discussion of desired projects & introduction to wheel-throwing

  • Evening 2 – Tue, Aug 26: Trimming first pieces, developing your own shapes, handle options

  • Evening 3 – Wed, Aug 27: Trimming, handle options, refining cylinder shapes

  • Evening 4 – Thu, Aug 28: Trimming, handle options, throwing from a bat, centering larger amounts of clay; depending on skill: lids, decoration techniques

  • Evening 5 – Fri, Aug 29: Finishing pieces, free practice, time for specific questions

The course price includes the first 2 kg of bisque fired pieces and clay. After that, firing costs are €15.00/kg for finished pieces. You don’t need to bring anything – except maybe an old T-shirt or apron (though clay is easy to wash out of clothes).

Age: 16 and above
