Even people who are experienced with ceramics often don't dare to tackle porcelain. But why? With a few tips and a bit of practice, you can create extraordinary pieces with the "white gold"!
In this 8-week course, we will focus on the various facets of porcelain. The course is designed to teach a wide range of techniques. Participants will both turn the wheel and build small sculptures and vessels. In terms of color design of porcelain, we will color the material and experiment with different porcelain glazes.
The course is suitable for anyone who already has some experience in working with ceramic masses and clays (you should have already completed at least an 8-week course).
Firing costs are 6.5€ per kilo per firing. Porcelain can be purchased in the studio for 23€ per bar (6kg).

Jacob Bartmann is a trained ceramicist, artist and art mediator. He has been working with ceramic materials in various fields since 2010. He has been fascinated by this complex material for some time now. He designs tea pottery, tableware, lampshades and jewelry in the material and also uses it for his conceptual artistic works.
