Spend an afternoon in creative atmosphere and form a butter dish with your hands that is not only practical but also very personal.

In 3 hours you will learn the basics of ceramic hand-building.

Whether classically simple, organically rounded, or with small details – you decide what shape your butter dish takes. It's not about perfection, but about expression and the joy of creation.

You will be accompanied by our instructors who will support you in modeling and show you techniques to realize your idea. Even if you have never worked with clay before, you don't need any prior knowledge - just the desire to experiment.

All materials, firing costs, and glaze are included in the workshop price. You can pick up your butter dish approximately 3 weeks after the workshop – all dishes will be transparently glazed by our staff.

If you already have experience, you can, of course, glaze your piece in a color of your choice during studio hours for free.

You don't need to bring anything, but feel free to wear clothes that can get dusty. We have aprons. Clay is very easy to wash out of clothes. Glazes and tools are freely available in the studio.

The courses will take place with a minimum of five participants. Should a course not take place on our part, we will, of course, offer a rebooking or a full refund.

Good to know: Since we carefully plan our courses and the number of places is limited, we ask you to notify us of cancellations in good time. This way, we give other interested parties the chance to move up and can make the workshop run smoothly for everyone.

- 1.5 kg of clay (for 1–2 pieces) after that the firing costs are 15 € per kilo for both firings.

About the Course Instructor

The course is led by experienced teaching staff from the Rami Keramikstudio.
The course instructors have been working with hand-building techniques for many years and place great importance on clean construction, stable forms, and functional ceramics.
In addition to the basics, you will gain insights into professional working methods and practical tips that are useful beyond the course.
