In this 8-week course, you will explore the diverse possibilities that porcelain offers. The aim is to learn a wide range of techniques and develop your own individual pieces.
You work with porcelain as a thin-walled, translucent material. You will learn how to control wall thickness, form clean edges, and consciously design surfaces. This is how you create individual vessels or objects with a clear design language.

Number of pieces to be fired: 2 kg of finished pieces (bisque and glaze firing) included in the course price
Additional options / Surcharge for extra pieces: €25/kg firing costs beyond the included 2 kg
This course is aimed at participants with solid experience in pottery throwing. Accurate centering and basic knowledge of working with ceramic materials are required. This corresponds roughly to the level of a completed 8-week course or comparable practical experience.

You don't need to bring anything. Clothes that can get dusty are sufficient. Aprons are provided and clay washes out easily.
About the course instructor
Jacob Bartmann is a trained ceramicist, artist, and art educator. He has been working with ceramic materials in various contexts since 2010.
He designs teaware, tableware, lampshades, and jewelry from porcelain and also uses the material for conceptual artistic works. His particular strength lies in his profound knowledge of the material and the combination of meticulous craftsmanship with artistic expression.
