Keeping a cool head
In this course, we will dedicate ourselves to the representation of the human head – slowly, attentively, and with both hands in the material.
Over two days, you will sculpt a ceramic head out of clay. Whether abstract, figurative, or fragmentary – you decide which direction your piece takes. We will work with hand-building techniques and simple tools, taking our time for proportion, expression, and surface. The piece will be left bisque-fired.
In a calm atmosphere, your individual work will emerge, accompanied by guidance and gentle impulses.
You don't need to bring anything, but feel free to wear clothes that can get dusty. Aprons are provided. Clay washes out of clothes very easily. Prior knowledge is an advantage, but not a prerequisite.
Material and bisque firing of the piece are included in the course price.
If you’d like to take more time with the sculpting/modeling, you’ll get an additional 3 studio hours on top, so you have enough time to finish the head at your own pace

Language: Main course language is German, but teacher can answer questions in english if necessary
Age: 16 years and older
Cancellation: Possible up to 14 days before the start of the course
Courses will take place with a minimum of four participants.
If we cancel the course, there is the option of rescheduling or receiving a refund.
